Day of Solidarity with Syria
Living under threat of siege.
BBC News – 17 Febr. 2016
Before the war, Aleppo was Syria’s biggest city and commercial centre. Now it lies in ruins, roughly divided in half between the government and opposition. But this could change soon as the forces of President Bashar al-Assad, backed by Russian air strikes, are on the brink of encircling the rebel-held east of the city.
The BBC has obtained this exclusive material which reveals how the residents of rebel-held Aleppo are facing up to the idea of living under siege.
